Debt Free League Sponsors ID ME NOW

May 13, 2008 -- San Diego, CA – In support of Child Protection Education of America (CPEA) Debt Free League is sponsoring their ID ME NOW program. The plight of CPEA is to help missing and exploited children. The national private foundation works directly with law enforcement agencies and parents of missing children.

CPEA facilitates programs that educate parents about the dangers their children face. Their flagship public service is the ID ME NOW Fingerprinting Program. ID ME NOW is a program particularly useful for law enforcement agencies in tracking and identifying missing children. ID ME NOW one day events and Print-A-Thons throughout the country are available free for the public.

The state-of-the-art digital technology provides parents with digital fingerprint scans and photographs of their children. The scanned fingerprints are of forensic-quality. This permits law enforcement agencies to accurately read the print. In addition, CPEA provides written safety materials to support the prevention of missing children.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, “one out of six missing children is found because someone recognized their photograph.” Thus Debt free League believes that its support for CPEA and the ID ME NOW program will be instrumental in expanding needed national photograph distribution for parents and law enforcement outlets.

Debt Free League is pleased support CPEA in its involvement with law enforcement, local and civic organizations, and communities to create a safer environment for parents and their children. CPEA also has a 24-hour a day/7 day a week toll-free hotline for people to register missing children or report the sighting of a missing child. The foundation also provides its services free of charge because of generous public support.
